ReCal

Privacy Policy

Effective October 26, 2026

The short version: ReCal has no accounts and no server of its own. Your meal plan, food logs, recipes, weigh-ins, notes and targets are stored only on your iPhone. We never see them, sell them or use them for ads.

Who we are

ReCal is an iPhone app published by GoViral Ventures LLC. Questions about this policy go to support@getrecal.app.

What stays on your phone

Everything you enter: your goal, age, sex, height, weight and activity level, your calorie and macro targets, day types and meals, food logs, recipes, weigh-ins and notes. This data is kept in the app's storage on your device. It is included in your iPhone's own backup (iCloud or your computer) if you have backups turned on, under Apple's terms. ReCal does not upload it anywhere.

What leaves your phone

A small amount of technical information goes to three service providers so the app can work and we can fix problems. None of it includes your health, food, weight or note data, and none of it is used to track you across other apps or websites.

We do not sell or share personal information, show ads or use advertising identifiers.

Reminders

Meal reminders are scheduled on your phone. They are created by the app and never pass through a server.

Your choices

Children

ReCal is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Health information

Calorie and macro targets are estimates based on standard formulas. ReCal is not medical advice. Check with a doctor or dietitian before making big changes to your diet.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for meaningful changes, tell you in the app.
